The 7 HABITS OF HIGHLY EFFECTIVE PEOPLE

By: Stephen R. Covey

HABIT 1: BE PROACTIVE

Being proactive is the most basic habit of an effective person. Being proactive is more than simply taking the initiative; it entails accepting responsibility for your life.

HABIT 2 : BEGIN WITH THE END IN MIND

imagine how you would like your loved ones to remember you, what you would like them to acknowledge as your achievements, and what difference you made in their lives.

This habit is centered on time management and prioritizing. Long-term planning, connection building, and personal growth are all part of it.

HABIT 3 : PUT FIRST THINGS FIRST

HABIT 4 : THINK WIN/WIN

Effective people seek teamwork and synergy to achieve solutions that benefit all parties involved.

HABIT 5 : Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood

“Most people do not listen with the intent to understand; they listen with the intent to reply.”

HABIT 6 : SYNERGIZE

According to the author, synergy is the creation of something larger through the collaboration of different people and ideas.

HABIT 7 : SHARPEN THE SAW

The last habit, "Sharpen the Saw," is about personal revitalization and growth. Covey uses the image of a saw that grows dull with repeated usage.
